Printing is Starting!

Dear blessed and wicked ones, 

We would like to inform you that the printing process has started! With this step underway, we are in our planned schedule for the fulfillment of the Corpus Collection, and the deliveries will happen in the Q1 of 2023 period as planned.

The Printing Process

The printing process normally takes 1.5 months to complete for us. Yet, in this campaign we have items that are new for us, such as the dice and the miniatures, thus we will take it slightly slower to ensure the quality of these items that we are unfamiliar with. 

The printing process is made of two parts, preparation and sampling, and the printing itself. It is a process that takes six weeks for books, with two weeks in preparation & sampling and four weeks on printing, with the latter sometimes taking a week longer or shorter depending on the number of books printed. 

However, as mentioned above, we will work in more detail for the preparation and sampling of several items, such as the dice, miniatures, and the box, and this will make the preparation step slightly longer. 

So far, we have already sent the dice and the miniatures to the printer and they are working on the preparation process to send us the first draft. We will also be sending the four main books, Corpus Angelus, Corpus Malicious, Mindabar, and Loniel, to the printer this week. As Corpus Malicious and Mindabar were already printed before, the printer has their documents ready for them and they will take a shorter time to prepare. On the other hand, Corpus Angelus and Loniel are new books, so it will take a regular time for them to prepare these books to print.

With all these taken into account, we are estimating the printing to be complete in 2-2.5 months, with all the items being ready to ship from our printer to our warehouses at the start of December. 

Lore Books

With the lore books, we only have the editing of the last few sections left. So we are getting into the layout of the lore books soon, and will release their PDF versions in a short while.

Fulfillment on Schedule

As you may recall from our Kickstarter campaign page of the Corpus Collection, we were estimating our deliveries to commence in the First Quarter of 2023, with the stretch goals taken into account. We are happy to say that we are on schedule for this planned delivery time.

Loniel is Released!

We are here today with some delightful news! Loniel - The Floating City of Angels is finally complete and we are releasing the PDF now!

Loniel - The Floating City of Angels

Just as Mindabar was our small evil setting for Corpus Malicious, Loniel is our small good setting for Corpus Angelus. It has the concepts of archetypal goodness, fairness, and a city living in utopia. However, the city is surrounded by threats, fiends of the depths who wish to take it and turn it into something they’d like. You, as a hero worthy of entering this city, can keep them at bay by defending this marvelous city!

We really liked the work we have accomplished with the layout of Loniel, but would like to provide you some sneak peeks so you can see for yourself. Here are some of the pages of the book:

The progress on our lore books is going strong as well! As of now, we have finished the editing of the first lore book and took it into the layout phase. We expect the editing of the second lore book to also be finished in two weeks!

Status Update on all the Products

Loniel’s layout is almost complete!

Hello again blessed and wicked ones,

We were at the layout stage for some time for Loniel, as there were many more gorgeous art pieces we wanted to include and update and doing so takes some time. With all the artwork done and the layout 70% finished as well, we’re confident that we’ll get the PDF of Loniel to you sometime next week.

And speaking of the awesome pieces we were able to include in this majestic setting, here are a few examples!

Lorebooks Going Strong

The editing of the lorebooks is well underway, and proofreading has begun. Both processes are running smoothly, which makes us confident that these products will be ready to print within two weeks as well. 

The Rest of the Process

Once the work on the lorebooks are done, we will send all the products to printing, which should take about 1.5 months. Afterwards, the shipping process will begin in early October. As always, we will also keep you posted about the ins and outs of the process once we get there.

Hello again dear blessed and wicked ones,

We are here today with a slightly different update than you may be used to, as we want to inform all who have backed us in previous projects that we are starting on a new journey as DRS Publishing. As you know, we are always trying to improve and grow as a company and have decided that working with Patreon is the next logical step for us in this regard. 

We’ve come up with a couple of different ways we can go about this in our first project with this platform, and wanted your opinion about what that way should be. We have thus made up a survey, the link for which you may find below, containing the best options we came up with, in which you can state which one you would most prefer. We would very much appreciate your contribution in said survey, so we know what you, our community, would like to see us do!

Today we have some exciting news for you! Loniel is in the layout phase and the lore books are being edited.

Loniel - Floating City of Angels

As you know, Loniel is the “good city” of our collection, just as Mindabar is the evil one. And we have been hard at work to make this city one that is worthy of its name!

Now, our work has nearly come to an end, and the book is already in the layout phase! Below, you can see some sample artwork from this beautiful city setting:

Lore Books

We are also done with the writing of the lore books, and they are now in the editing phase. After the editing is complete, we’ll quickly have both of the books proofread and they will be ready for release as well.

What’s After the PDFs

We also wanted to provide you with some information regarding our process after the PDFs are released: When all the books are ready in the PDF format, we will send them to printing. With a sampling period of 2 weeks, the printing takes around 1.5-2 months in total.

Towards the end of the printing process, we will also lock addresses and charge your cards in Backerkit pledge manager for the shipping fees and any add-ons you have purchased. Please note that you should have your surveys completed by this time. In the past, we had issues where some of our backers hadn’t completed their surveys and thus failed to receive their rewards.

No worries though, we will post all the necessary information when the time comes. Still, if you have any questions, feel free to ask us through Kickstarter messages or through our Discord channel.
